Avocado oil contains vitamins A, D and E, making it rich in antioxidants. Antioxidants are substances that slow or prevent damage to our bodies’ cells caused by unstable molecules called “free radicals.” Free radicals can cause illness and symptoms of aging (like wrinkles) through the damage they cause cells. Rather than sitting on top of the skin like a wax, avocado oil is fast absorbing, quickly nourishing skin and lips with its moisturizing and beneficial properties. It also contains a substance called sterolin, which helps give lips a softer feeling, and is said to help speed the healing process, making it ideal for dry, chapped lips.
